PrintBlue Flag Beaches
In June, 2007, An Taisce awarded International Blue Flag Awards to Cappa Pier and Kilrush Marina.
The Blue Flag awards are an exclusive eco-label awarded to more than 3,000 beaches and marinas in 28 countries in the Northern Hemisphere.
It symbolises high standards in the following areas:
- Environmental Education and Information
- Environmental Management
- Water Quality
- Safety and Services
