PrintKilrush Duathlon 2010

Kilrush is hosting its inaugural duathlon on 3rd July in association with Feile Sona Family Festival. The event is a 3.4 km / 12 km / 3.4 km run / cycle / run duathlon. All levels are welcome and it is hoped that this will be a good prelude to the Tri 3 event being held in September.
The start and finish will be from the Square in the centre of the town with the run going out to Cappa and up the hill by the Galleon and looping onto the Cappa road and up the town.
The cycle is out the Moneypoint / Killimer road to the Roadstone plant and the return is via the coast road back through Cappa and up Frances Street to the finish line.
The square will be partially closed off to traffic and the event will be followed by a live open air band. Prize giving will be in Crotty’s Pub at 7:30 p.m.
All profits from the event will go to West Clare Cancer Support.
Entry is €10 per person or €20 per relay team. Each competitor will get a goody bag and there are prizes for all categories. Everyone is welcome and we would like you to encourage anyone you know to come along and enjoy the evening. We can arrange accommodation for competitors if you want to make a night of it!!!
